With Ireland and Bangladesh out of the picture, the Irish team will now need to fight for their spot in the ODI World 2023 qualifiers alongside several other teams, such as the West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Scotland, Oman, Nepal, USA, and United Arab Emirates. The pressure is on, and the competition will be fierce.

Despite a rocky start, the Proteas have secured their position in the World Cup. In their latest match against the Netherlands, South Africa gave a spectacular performance, winning 2 out of the 3 matches played, thus boosting their standings in the league.

To directly qualify for the highly coveted World Cup, the Proteas were banking on Ireland losing to Bangladesh, and luck was on their side as the first ODI match between the two was unfortunately canceled due to heavy rain.

Thanks to this unforeseen turn of events, South Africa has successfully made it to the ICC Cricket WC 2023, which is set to take place in India from 5th October to 19th November of this year.
