ICC T20 Match Stadium Pitch Reports

Guyana National Stadium, Guyana

Situated on the east coast of Demerara River and roughly of few kilometers below Georgetown, Guyana, the Providence Stadium was constructed in the year 2006 in preparation for the Cricket World Cup that was held in the year 2007. This ground has one more special characteristic to its profile – a bare gravel pit/cancel at the cover/backward square-leg boundary is close to the mound, and this tends to create an atmosphere of passion and enthusiasm among the spectators as well, fans only. The apron and the remainder of the bowl are covered with seating that is somewhat shaded, giving good relief from the sun to spectators.

The most historical moment was during the Providence Stadium to watch Sri Lanka beat South Africa in the Super 8s 17 years ago, providing Lasith Malinga bowl four wickets from four consecutive balls.

Royal Bermuda Yacht Club was the venue when the West Indies began their tournament match against Papua New Guinea on June 2. ECO POLK performed five group matches and this semi-final on June 27, 2007 making it an affiliate of the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados

The largest stadium in the Caribbean, having a seating capacity of 28000 that can be expanded, is situated in the Kensington Oval, the western part of Barbado’s capital, Bridgetown. This cricket ground has been in existence for more than 120 years justifiably describing it as a historic ground since it has been hosting matches involving the international touring teams as early as in 1895.

Prior to the 2007 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup there were renovations made in the structure of the stadium at Kensington Oval. It is also notable because it was the scene of England’s victory over Australia in the T20 World Cup in the year 2010. In the next T20 World Cup, Kensington Oval is scheduled to provide venues for the first half of the Group B matches, besides three second-round matches that include the final on June 29.

Siri Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium or North Sound, Antigua

located near the beautiful island’s capital, St. John’s, only 15-minute drive away from it, the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium was built to host cricket matches during the 2007 Cricket World Cup. In the course of this tournament, this Lebanese stadium facilitated 6 games of the Super 8 round.

Indeed, anticipating the new T20 World Cup, the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium will play a crucial role once again. Finally, the ground will also stage four matches at the end of the second round, which completes the group B plays-offs. The three teams, Oman, Namibia, and England, will feature at the venue twice, a sure presentation of their strength on the grass.

It has its way of celebrating legends in the form of two other Antiguan icons, Sir Curtly Ambrose and Sir Andy Roberts; the stadium has stands named after them. This gesture underscores the cardiovascular cricket culture on the island and the extraordinary wealth of human talent.

Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba

Brian Lara Cricket Academy, which is located in Tarouba, San Fernando, in southern Trinidad, since the year 2008. This venue took over Guaracara Park in Point-a-Pierre, which, prior to its closure, served as one of the principal cricket venues in the area.

Since its establishment in 2017, the Brian Lara Cricket Academy has become a center for professionalism in cricket sports, for it has hosted several other high-graded matches. Before the next event, it is also possible to increase its potential by improving the existing capabilities of the stadium. It will be an important venue in the next tournament, where it has been scheduled to host four matches in the group stage starting from the group stage on June 12 and the semi-final match on June 26.

Arnos Vale Ground, Arnos Vale, St Vincent

The Arnos Vale Ground is a multi-purpose facility and football ground that has been important for international cricket since 1981. This cricket ground is located in Arnos Vale, a small town just outside Kingstown, and was originally known to accommodate at least 18,000 audiences and has been the venue for many exciting cricket matches.

As such, one of those noted matches was the One Day International match between West Indies and England in 1981 at the Arnos Vale Ground. The West Indies performed remarkably well by beating England by only two runs. It proved that there was a worthy rivalry between them. The ground is on and has been used to host international cricket matches, which are as follows: T20 World Cup 2024.

Arnos Vale Ground also has a significant role in the T20 World Cup for 2024 as it has all T20 World Cup-related matches. On June 13, Bangladesh is scheduled to play The Netherlands, which is expected to be much more exciting. Also, it was known that Nepal and South Africa will face Bangladesh at the same place of two groups. Two second-round fixtures are also scheduled for June 22 and 24, a destiny that makes this venue very relevant in the tournament.

Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia

A befitting venue to show off the grand cricketing tradition that St. Lucia boasts of is the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, which is situated in the suburbs of Rodney Bay. It was named in honor of Daren Sammy, whose story is the dream of every cricket fanatic in the Caribbean nation, in 2016 after he steered West Indies to their second T20 World Cup success.

The ground was perhaps more interesting as it was the venue for its first international match, which was a One Day International (ODI) match between the West Indies and New Zealand in June 2002. The cricket ground is an oval, mainly with longer boundaries straight off the wicket and the shorter ones being square of the wicket, which makes the playing experience quite different for cricketers.

Even Daren Sammy, a famous cricketer himself, has the ground named after him, and it is not common to find such names being given on the cricket field. However, there are other memorials dedicated to other players, such as Johnson Charles of Saint Lucia, who won the T20 World Cup and has his stand named after him, which clearly shows that local cricketing icons in the region are valued.

The ground known as Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium will see action in the T20 World Cup 2024, featuring several matches. It is a splendid ground which gives high-quality facilities and is suited for international cricket, people who are going to watch matches here will not be disappointed.

Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York

There is good news for cricket lovers, with the countdown for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup starting in June well on course as the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York is nearing completion. The early successful pitches delivery also shows steps up in how the event is being prepared for. The pitches are expected to be delivered at the venue as preparations are underway for their implementation; these pitches have been developed in Florida by Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions.

The process observing the successive change in pitches was to transport the pitches from Florida to New York in 20 semi-trailer vehicles. The Head Curator for Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions, Damian Hough, supervised the delivery of the pitches, and he said that there was no issue at all. (klassischer und veralteter Synonym)The Head Curator for Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions, Damien Hough, who supervised the delivery of the pitches, noted that things went as planned and that all targets were achieved.

The recommending conditions of the ground should foster a good balance in bat and ball across the T20 game so as to achieve the goal of producing a T20 pitch that has prowess in pace, bounce, and the worth of shots. The members of the Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions will stay in New York and be there to help the local grounds teams in tending to the pitches up until the World Cup, thus guaranteeing good playing fields for every match.

The conditions at the ground are expected to provide a good contest between bat and ball, with the aim of producing a ICC T20 pitch that offers good pace, bounce, and value for shots. The Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions team will remain in New York to assist local grounds crews in maintaining the pitches throughout the World Cup, ensuring world-class playing surfaces for the matches.

The successful delivery of the pitches marks a major achievement in the preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup in New York.

Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida

This year’s ICC T20 World Cup will yet be one to remember as it will be the very first time when 4 games will be played in the United States of America. Out of these grounds, one special ground remained unique in terms of its historical significance and the kind of cricket it has witnessed. India’s first match will be in Group B, where it will play against Canada at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida. This stadium has been witnessing to many international crickets matches and the cricket lovers indeed got shocked when the West Indies compared one run to India in a game.

Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium Complex forms part of Broward County, which commenced operation on November 9 in the year 2007, at the cost of 70 million dollars. It was also the first cricket ground in the U. S. that received formal accreditation to accommodate the international cricket matches from the International Cricket Council (ICC). Currently, the facility provides seating for 20,000 fans with the large round grass field with additional accommodations for 5,000 in a second stadium-size oval with large terraced berms that can accommodate an extra 15,000 fans.

Initially, in the Lauderhill Cricket Ground, there was a proposal in Favor of the batsman to hurt the powerplay overs. However, as the match moves forward, the bowlers can again make an impact, or shouldn’t they? This is because the pitch slows down its pace, and therefore, batting becomes tough, particularly in the later overs, where big hits are harder to come by. Currently, on average, the first team that goes out to bat in ICC T20s at this ground manages around 165-170 runs. Therefore, this is a trend that both captains may consider adhering to by opting to field first after winning the toss.

It is a comparatively large ground with straight boundaries measuring 73-78 meters in length, while the square ones measuring 68-71 in length at Lauderhill Cricket Ground. It will be slightly hard to hit boundaries in this ground and it will require some fine breakfast hitting from the batters. Over the years, many tournaments have been played in the stadium, among them the Martin Luther King Twenty20 Tournament (MLK T20) and MAQ T20 International Tournament, to name but a few. It also marked the home for the first full cricket international games in America, where New Zealand and Sri Lanka played a two-match ICC T20 series in May 2010.

Lauderhill Cricket Stadium has the potential and has provided a platform for several cricket-playing nations. It has already offered the United States of America its first-ever One Day International ODI Series in September of 2019. It has been the venue for the USA Men’s Cricket Team’s first ODI victory. This is true because the features possessed by the stadium, such as the ability to host international matches, have ensured that the stadium has become an important ground in the entire world of cricket.

Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, Dallas

The stadium was previously a ballpark; however, with climate change and burgeoning interests in cricket, it has slowly and steadily evolved into one of the premier cricket grounds: the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, or QuikTrip Park, to be precise, which is in Grand Prairie, Texas. It was renovated in 2022, and it has greatly improved the range of the stadium to hold 7,000 in attendance.

This cricket field is among the largest in the USA. It occupies an area characterized by unusual dimensions compared to other similar facilities. The largest of these boundaries is 76 meters long, and the smallest boundary is 55 meters long, which offers a good cover to the Cricketer but not so easy to achieve.

The wicket arrives at Grand Prairie to help batters and make life difficult for bowlers. It is a comparatively hard and fast wicket, which welcomes the ball on the willow and makes it easier for the batters to play to the gallery. It also implies that the condition of the wicket is dry and fresh, most advantageous especially in the early overs of a particular innings for pacers.

The overall average run rate for the initial innings in this ground is approximately around 4.38 to total 159 runs Although the highest successful chase in the initial innings reached 222/3. Notable performances include Nicholas Pooran scoring a hundred and seventy-seven runs when MI New York faced the Seattle Orcas S. Netravalkar’s bowling analysis of six wickets for nine runs in three and a half overs of the San Francisco Unicorns.

There are two teams with hopes of getting into the next round in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024: Group A and Group D; the Grand Prairie Stadium will host four games, including two from each group. In this great event the world’s best T20 players would be assembled to make fans of the cricket thrilled to watch this energetic game at this appealing ground.
